Iowans To Get a Bobcat Season
A resurgence in bobcat numbers prompted a three-year study by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, which determined the bobcat population has recovered enough to warrant a limited harvest season. As a result, trappers and hunters will be allowed to take one bobcat per season beginning Nov. 3. The season runs through Jan. 31, 2008, or until a harvest quota of 150 animals is reached.
