SECRETARY’S REPORT

Our Rendezvous will be just a few days away when you receive this issue. Plan to join us for a fun and educational weekend Sept 3-5 at Muir Springs near Fort Morgan. Bring your tent or RV or stay in a motel in Fort Morgan. Directions: take Exit 79 off of I-76, turn west onto Hwy 144. Go 1.7 miles to County Road 16 (a gravel road), turn north; the road dead -ends at Muir Springs. CTA signs will be posted along the way.

Here’s what we’ve got planned: Saturday, Sept 4: Live Trapping Beaver – Jim Hooks; Trapping Ethics – Otis Latham; Predator Calling – Claude Oleyar & Major Boddicker; Sewing Fur – Don Clifford; Fur Handling – Bill Curns; Jack Russell terrier hunting – Harold; Bobcat Trapping – Kevin Herrman; Cage Trapping Coyotes – Dan Gates. Evening events include a BBQ dinner and an auction. Sunday, Sept 5: Church in the Woods; Membership Meeting; fun contests for all ages, including fishing, shooting (muzzle-loader, long rifle, hand guns) archery, knife and tomahawk throwing, trap setting. In the evening the raffle and CTA award winners will be announced.

This is a great way for your family to spend the Labor Day weekend. Hope to see you there!
