STATE ORGANIZER’S REPORT

Hello T.F.H.A. Family,

Well, we’ve made it through another season, and even though the outcome seemed bleak, TFHA pulled off three fur sales with the prices holding better than the predictions.

Our one-and-only H.A. Longmire kept the auction lively; no one keeps those ‘chrysanthemum squirrels’ and ‘marsupials’ moving like dear H.A.

The TFHA volunteers showed up in force to help run fur, keep the tables moving, as well as for the clean-up. TFHA runs smoothly because of y’all. Thanks to each of you!

This upcoming year looks packed yet full of fun. For Big Ridge April 17 to 19. This year we have our Director’s meeting on Friday night. We need all the directors that can possibly attend at this meeting — there is much to discuss.

For dinner Friday evening, we are asking for casseroles and side dishes. If you can help with this, please call and let us know what you willing to bring.

ATTENTION ALL TFHA MEMBERS: You may not bring any pets at either Big Ridge or Falls Creek Falls. This is in our paperwork from the parks. Anyone who brings a pet will be asked to leave the premises. The gates open at 3 p.m. on Friday. Cabins are on a first come first served basis unless you require HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE. If you do, please contact me.

Any member wanting to help is welcome. We can always use any amount of the following: paper plates and bowls, plastic spoons and forks, drinks, napkins and help with sides and desserts.
For more info, give us a call at 865-621-8114.

Keep a watch for your Calender of Events. This outlines what will be coming up this year. If you do not receive your copy, please call and let us know.

Come on and bring your friends. Let’s make 2009 TFHA’s best year ever! All of our meetings, trapper trainings, fur handling days are open to EVERYONE. Tell people about TFHA, let’s keep our dream growing.

TFHA..”Tennessees’ Finest Have Arrived.” Lead by setting a good example. Ask how you can make a positive effort to help your organization. Volunteers make the difference between good and great. I believe TFHA has the best volunteers anywhere. Remember, imitation is the best form of flattery. TFHA hold your head high, be proud, 30 years and still going strong.

God Bless.
