VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT

By the time you get this report our Fall Meet at Fall Creek Falls will only be a few weeks away. This year’s convention is one day longer than usual. It will begin Thursday evening, Oct. 10th and run through Sunday morning, October 13th. We have tentatively scheduled demos from Mike Fischer of Arkansas, Matt Jones of Kentucky and Hal Sullivan of Ohio, as well as demos from our local talent.

The general membership meeting will begin after lunch on Saturday, followed by our annual fund-raising auction. Don’t forget to bring a donation for the auction.

We will have a crawfish boil/fish fry on Saturday beginning at 5pm. Entertainment will be provided by a jazz-style band featuring Jessie Black and this will prove to be a real treat.

There will be a director’s meeting Friday night at 7:00pm.

This is an election year. You can either mail your ballots to James Lord or bring them to Fall Creek Falls.

A couple years ago, we began a collection for a Hall of Fame trailer to honor our Hall of Fame members. I ran across a trailer in June and because of the generous donations of TFHA members, we were able to purchase an 8×20 cargo trailer, bringing this dream a little closer to reality.

I hope to see everyone at Fall Creek Falls. You don’t want to miss this one!

Til next time. Keep your boots dry. — John
