PRESIDENT’S REPORT

This month’s report is dedicated to our Annual Rendezvous. It’s the 39th Rendezvous!

The Annual Rendezvous will be Sept. 25 and 26, 2009. Setup for the event will be on Thursday, Sept. 24. The Rendezvous will be held at the Johnson County Livestock Arena in Smithfield, North Carolina, just off NC Highway 210, west of Smithfield. Each year our convention gets bigger and better! Of course, this year’s will be the best! There will be approximately 18 vendors with bargains for this season’s supplies. Two Days of trapping demos (Friday and Saturday) by state and nationally known trappers! Demo area has bleachers and a sound system so all can see and learn from these experts!

Rendezvous schedule of events will be available at registration. Also, a lot of good fellowship and good food at Friday evening’s cookout!

Auction, Awards, Membership Meeting will be on Saturday. Please bring an item to donate for auction — it’s our largest fundraiser! The Business Meeting allows YOU to elect the directors. If you would like to serve or nominate someone, be there and make it happen! Awards to be presented to those who have worked for the NCTA or have won a contest. Honor them with your presence!

Smithfield offers several motels and restaurants (see below). You will need to determine the quality of each yourself, as I did not visit each venue!
