PRESIDENT’S REPORT
I hope everyone is having a good summer. Man it has been hot.
June was a crazy month. N T A regional, PA, and F T A. Three conventions in one month was to many. But we had a lot of fun. Things finally slowed down in July, but it was to hot to work on traps. Mayby in August. I hope so, there is so much to do. Triggers, swivels, and dying, the list goes on. Oh well! Before you know it it will be Oct 2nd and our convention.
Do not forget to mark your calender, this will be our 50th anniversary. Remember there is a special patch that will only be available until Dec 31, 2011. Then any unsold ones will be destroyed. They are $9.00 and only available this year. If you can not make the convention you can order one thru the mail for the same price. Phil had hats, t-shirts, and sweatshirts made with the 50th patch on them They will be available at the convention.
We will be having our roast pork dinners at the convention again this year. It looks like we will be able to hold the price at $10 again. So remember to come on up to Space Farms, in Beemerville on Oct 2 for our 50th anniversery convention.
On a different note, the Division of Fish & Wildlife would like us to report any sightings or road killed bobcats and otters. Notify Andy Burnett at 609-748-2058 or call me at 973-697-2981 and I will relay the location to Andy. They need this information so we can make sure there are otter permits in the areas that can support a harvest, and if we are ever going to get the bobcat off the endangered list they need information to justify theat action. Also any road killed coyotes should be called into your local regional office. I do not know why, but they keep track of thes things.
