CORRESPONDENCE SECRETARY’S REPORT

Well, we had two days of winter now it’s springtime again, lows in the sixties and highs in the upper seventy. Doesn’t feel like trapping weather in Southwest Georgia. But you gotta’ make hay while the sun shines – or put fur on the stretchers. So here we go!

Now that we have some water in the creeks I feel like an old buck chasing does, zig-zagging back and forth across the country trying to hit all the good spots for otters. Then there’s all the good looking country that just begs for cat sets. I need two or three of me to get it all done!

It’s hard wishing everyone the right thing at the right time with the publishing schedule not quite corresponding to the correct season. So I’ll just say I hope everybody had a Happy Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well! That should take care of that.

Good trapping and I hope to see you at the competition in January. — Steve Rainey
