VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Trapping season is coming to a close and the T.F.H.A. is gearing up for this year’s upcoming fur sales. Remember this year’s sales have changed a bit from the way they have been done in the past. Both sales will be after the close of season. Bulls Gap will be the first sale held at the Bulls Gap V.F.W. March 2nd, fur check-in will begin at 8 am eastern time and the sale will start at 9 am. Call-in to reserve a table will begin at 9 am Feb . 23rd. Call Ashton Pittman to reserve a table 423-457-5655 The second sale will be held at the Cumberland Co. Fair Complex in Crossville Tn. March 16th, fur check-in will begin at 8 am central time and the sale will start at 9 am. Call-in to reserve a table will start at 9 am eastern time March 9th. Call Ashton Pittman to reserve a table 423- 457-5655

These dates were chosen by the general membership at the Fall Creek Falls General membership meeting. These dates were chosen in an effort to allow time for trappers to put up their fur after season. This is an effort to increase the trappers bottom line and to hopefully up the volume of fur and attract more buyers. T.F.H.A. is blessed to have several members who do an excellent job at putting up fur . Green fur will still be accepted but if you have the time to put up your fur, I believe this year it will pay.

After the fur sales the next event will be the Hiwassee Trapper Training Camp April 27th. Remember this event is free to all and is full of valuable information.

Our Spring meet will be held at Big Ridge State Park May 18th.

Plans are in the works for our Dist. 5 meeting at Gee Creek campground in August and our annual Fall Meeting in Fall Creek Falls in Oct. the dates will be announced in the next report. Hope to see every one at the fur sales. — John Daniel
