PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Hello Trappers,
As you read this I know we still have plenty of heat left, but we can see the end of the tunnel on this summer. The worst of the heat is behind us and hopefully it won’t be long till the leaves start turning and the air gets cooler. And thank goodness the skeeters will be dead. I trust by now you have all had a chance to read and think about my report in the newsletter. If I haven’t heard from you I hope I will. If some of you can just take on some of those duties it will surely be a great help to me. I will be willing to show and advise anyone till they get the hang of it, maybe some that live near one another can share the duties. None of the jobs are that time consuming but it does take some effort and time to do them well. I beg you to please consider them. Not much of anything going on concerning trappers in the state at this time, so I guess no news is good news. I don’t know about the rest but I was certainly pleased with the fur check from the last sale and it looks like the prices will stay good this coming year. So get out and strike while the iron is hot.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Greetings fellow trappers!
Hope this summer has treated y’all well; this crazy weather with monsoons one day and steamin’ hot the next really makes it hard to get anything accomplished. Cooler temperatures and trapping season really aren’t that far away. By the time you read this, the NTA convention will have come and gone; and I will be talking to people trying to get a new fur pick up started with Fur Harvester’s Auctions. We should have the final details by the time of our convention in November, which would give us more options to sell our furs.
I would like y’all to think of anything you would like the association to work on legislation wise to improve trapping in our state. After all, our association can only be as strong as our members make it. It’s time to come together to build on that strength and make it the best it’s ever been.
