VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Well I just got back from the Adarondacks last week. It rained almost every day or night. Mud, slop, you name it. Still it was a ball. We even caught a few animals, in spite of all that. Mostly we had a lot of fun, and that is what it is all about. Kick back, run around, and enjoy what time we have left in this world. I hope everyone of you gets to enjoy your retirement like Bill and I have been.

Enough on that. As you may know we voted at the convention to have just one fur sale again this season. There just is not enough intrest or fur to justify having a January sale. Most people are just too wrapped up in deer hunting and the holidays to really push for the first few weeks of the season.

By now those of us who were lucky enough to draw a beaver or otter permit should have at least a few tags filled. Remember this is one of the most dangerous parts of trapping, thin ice, big traps, and very cold weather. Be careful. While we have not had a fatality that I know of, there is always the chance. Think before you act.

Enough said! Remember, have fun, be safe, and take a kid with you. They are our future.

— Jim DeStephano
