REPORT
The NHTA directors met for monthly meetings January 22 and February 1, 2011.
Not too much on the agenda for the winter months. The Assoc. voted to purchase tickets to the NH Wildlife Federation annual dinner, scheduled for April 2nd this year.
The Assoc. was late this year in getting organized for the Farm and Forest show. Maybe next year we will make it there with our booth. We will be setting up our display at the Discover Wild NH Day again this spring at the NH Fish and Game Headquarters. April 30th this year. This is a great event for us to participate in as it is heavily attended by a broad spectrum of the public.
The NHTA Spring Meeting will be held April 24th. We are planning on having it at the Belknap County Sportsman’s Club in Gilford. Those plans are being finalized – stay tuned.
The UNH/NHF&G Dept. bobcat trapping study has moved east to the area just north and east of the concord area. To date four cats have been captured by NH trappers and handled by the college students and state biologists. Some or most of the cats will be fitted with a radio collar for tracking. We will keep an eye on the progress of this study.
