VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT

The 2008 rendezvous is now over and hope everyone had a great time and got all their supplies for the upcoming fur harvesters season. As the number of road killed animals you see, there should be a good harvesting season for most, with the young being born in the spring. Obey the rules and regulation set forth for us by the Wildlife and Parks Dept. Obtain permission before entering and landowners property and respect it. Report any violations that you may come upon. As members of the KFHA, show pride in it, do things in an ethical and proper manner to help show the general public what the organization is all about.

As noted in the last newsletter on the fur auctions, don’t forget, you will be required to show your membership card when getting the papers for registering your furs. Some other items also will be that no more than 5 cats will be sold single, bundle coons in 10 or more, 10 rats or more, as grouping furs will save time and money for the organization. It will make the day shorter and auctioneer expenses lower.
Have a safe and enjoyable fur harvesting season. Take a youth with you and introduce them to the real outdoors. Show them what has been put forth on this earth to enjoy. — Roger Macy

DISTRICT 5 REPORT

Ed reported on the NTA convention. He said it was all very nice. Next year’s convention will be in Lima, Ohio. It will be the 50th anniversary. No new business reported.
