PRESIDENT’S REPORT
The VTA has been busy we have already done a couple of events, and we were well received at all of them. Please check out our web site for up coming events at www.virginiatrappers.org. The VTA convention is approaching fast please call Art Foltz for info. or check it out on our web site. We hope to post a schedule for the convention soon.

DISTRICT 8 REPORT
Now that your coffers are full from the fur sale and all of your gear is cleaned and prepped for next year it’s time to get ready for the convention. Districts 7 and 8 are working to ensure you’ll have plenty of vendors to re-stock supplies and informative demonstrations to add to your tricks of the trade bag. We’re still looking for volunteers to run the show so please let me know if you’re willing to donate an hour or two of your time to assist. In case you haven’t marked your calendars yet, the VTA Annual Convention is scheduled for July 15-17 at the Orange Youth Sports Foundation Booster Park behind the Orange County Airport. For the GPS-minded, the address is 1177 Bloomsbury Road, Orange, VA. The daily entry fee is the same as last year, $5.00 per person.
Primitive campsites are available at no additional charge. We’re planning to have plenty to keep the kids entertained so plan on bringing the entire family. If you can only attend one day of the convention, try to make it Saturday. That’s the day we’ve scheduled the General Membership meeting and the Auction; 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, respectively.
Our next district meeting is tentatively scheduled for May 22nd, at 6706 River Road, Fredericksburg. A meeting announcement with site directions will be sent to district members and guests; however, the event is open to all trappers or trapping-interested persons. If you would like to attend, please contact me for details and directions.
