PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Happy New Year Vermont Trappers and supporters. I wish each and every one of you a safe and happy one.
Just an update, I got pardoned for the first round of jury duty, and ended up with a double round, back to back of pneumonia which put me out of commission for nearly a month. Hell, should have done the duty and not whined about it. It would have been bad, but not as bad as being in bed! I want to thank all of you who sent me photos of your trapline successes. The pics helped me a lot in the down times. There certainly is some prime fur to be had.
A reminder about the rabies shots in last month’s column, let us know if you need them. Directors names are on the VTA Web site.
I have been notified that Barb Davis, our long time editor of our twice-a-year newsletter, can no longer do this task. On behalf of the VTA and its members I thank Barb for her hard work and dedication. If anyone out there has a desire to take over, please give me a ring. The pay is high as always, the satisfaction that you are getting the news out to Vermont trappers.
Mark your calenders for Jan. 15,16 and 17, 2010. VTA will be at the Yankee Sportsman Classic in Essex Jct, Vermont. Stop by and see what the VTA is all about. As usual, your help at this event will be helpful. Give me a call if you can help out for one, two or 20 hours. I appreciate all you can do.
That’s it for now. Good luck and be safe out there and bring a kid along.
— Randy Barrows
