PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Hello Tennessee free trappers,

By the time you are reading this report, our trapping season here will be well underway. I wish you all a good season and hope the bad weather holds off for all of us.

On Oct. 11, 2008, the TFTA Fall meeting was held at Rock Island State Park. Plenty of good food and friendship was to be had. The weather was perfect and a good attendance was present. I than John Coakley of The Trappers Haven Trapping Supplies and Jimmy Childress of Big Windy Farms Trapping Supplies for attending this meet with supplies available. Our fundraising auction went well. Thanks also to all who donated items for the TFTA auction. Donations made by David Simpson, Ed Kane, Chris Jacobsen, Clyde Harris, Jackie McMurtry, James Sanders, Jerry Scott, David Bratcher, Bruce Carr, Jackie Adams, Mark Griffith and John Coakley help keep the TFTA up and running. The TFTA depends on the members for postage, building rentals, auctioneer fees, NTA Affiliation dues, etc.  Many thanks again.

FUR AUCTIONS: The auctions have been scheduled and the buildings have been reserved for three TFTA Fur Auctions for the 2008-2009 Season.
