PRESIDENT’S REPORT
The TFTA Annual Spring meet that was held at Mouse Tail Landing on May 8, 2010 was sparsley attended. Most likely due to all the flooding that was going on in the state the week prior to the meet. It is possible that members thought that the park would be closed because it’s right near the Tennessee River. The meeting was still held. The day was pleasant and as always plenty to eat. I thank Roger Seward for helping with the demos. Several new members signed up at the meeting.
FALL MEETING: The Fall meeting will be held at Cedars of Lebanon State Park on Saturday October 16, 2010.
This meeting will be held rain or shine on Saturday October 16, 2010 beginning at 9:00 am CDT at the Cedars of Lebanon State Park, Lebanon, TN at Shelter #1. As always, tailgaters or trapping supply dealers are welcome. This meeting will be a pot luck type luncheon, so bring a covered dish if possible. Coffee and cold drinks will be provided by the TFTA at no cost. Please bring a donation item for our fund raising auction if possible. We will be having some trapping and snaring demos also. Fur Auction locations and dates will be discussed for the 2010 to 2011 Trapping Season. There is also a possibility of fur handling demos. More on this Fall meeting in future issues of the Trapper Predator Caller Magazine.
DIRECTIONS: To get there from Nashville: Take I-40 East, Exit 232A (Hwy. 109 South, Gallatin). Go right. Continue on Hwy. 109 for 3.7 miles, continue on Hwy. 265 S. (Central Pike) for 4.6 miles. Turn right onto Hwy. 231 (TN-10, Murfreesboro Road) for .6 miles. Turn left onto Cedar Forest Rd. There will be TFTA signs pointing the way.
