PRESIDENT’S REPORT
A Board of Director’s meeting was held on July 15 at the site of this winter’s fur auction. Several items of interest were discussed:
The Fall Trappers’ Clinic will be held on Oct. 3 at the Defiance Fish and Game Club from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The general meeting will begin at 2 p.m. with the lot number drawing immediately following. Several demos will be given and lunch will be available. There is no fee for dealer set-up. For more info, please call Craig.
Due to the projected fur market for the upcoming season, we have decided to host only one auction again this year. The auction will be held on Jan. 9, 2010, at the American Legion Hall in Tontogany, OH. This new site is about five miles from the old site in Bowling Green and a map will be sent to prospective dealers/buyers and club members later this fall. In the event that the fur market turns around and we have a great season, we have the option to host an auction in early March. A decision on this will be made by mid-January. Stay tuned. As always, there are no fees or charges for dealer set-up.
The Board also decided to send a donation to the NTA and donate a gun to FBU for the convention auction (thanks Sam Dewyer!). We are also again a sponsor for the Miss Rodeo coat fund.
Enjoy your remaining summer days — trapping season will be here before long. Stay safe.
