PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Convention time is here. We are leaving for Lima, Ohio tomorrow for the N.T.A. Convention and hope to see you there. The U.P. Convention was last week and heard it was a success. Congratulations to District 3 for their good work.
Plans for our convention are coming along fine. Set up is Sept. 17, 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sept. 18, 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. with opening 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on the 19th from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tear down on Sunday, the 20th, 8 a.m. until ? The annual meeting will be Friday evening. Bonfire every evening.
Demo schedule is getting full; call Lloyd White for information. Dealer building is just about full; call me for booths 906-478-6631.
Willobees Motel in Brimley is 10 miles from Kinross Fairgrounds 906-248-3090. Sault Ste. Marie is about 12 miles from fairgrounds. Fairgrounds is ½ mile east of I-75 off exit 378.
The weather in the U.P. hasn’t been the best with colder than average nights and not much sun during the day. Water in the ponds and rivers is lower than average for this time of the year.
Fur prices aren’t good with no way to go but up — hopefully in the near future.
Good trapping.
— Ken Mills
