PRESIDENT’S REPORT

The NHTA will be having its fall rendezvous this year again at the Owl Brook Hunter/Trapper Education Center in Holderness, NH, on Sept. 19 to 20. The gates open at 7 a.m. There will be a vendor available for breakfast and lunch and trapping demos through out the day.
At the association’s monthly meeting on Sept. 1, officers voted to donate $250 to the NH Chapter of the Safari Club’s annual Adventure of a Lifetime program. This event helps terminally ill children fulfill a lifetime hunting dream.

Steve Bennett had agreed to stay on as NTA Director while the association solicits nominations for NTA Director. If you are interested, please contact a director.

The Association has chosen a date in February of 2010 for its next banquet fundraiser. Event organizers will be looking to sell tickets and solicit items for the auction. This dinner went over well last year and we are looking for another great turn out and another great time. Steve Bennett will again coordinate the dinner. He is currently shopping for a caterer and a guest speaker(s). This year, he is working on reserving a facility that seats 400, hoping to sell 200 tickets, which leaves plenty of elbow room. If you would like to donate an item, your time or have suggestions, he can be reached at 603-736-8096.

Bill Bailey again provided several bottles of lure as door prizes for directors that attended the monthly meeting. Thanks Bill. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month, except for November, in Boscawen. Members as well as Directors are always welcome.

Best to all.

— Paul DeBow, Grafton County director
