PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Although all of our members were sent a notice regarding the Ely Fur Sale cancellation, I want to remind everyone that because of the poor condition of the fur market and a chance of a slight upswing later on this winter, we felt it wise to cancel the Ely Sale. There has never been such a worldwide recession like what is occurring now that also affects most of the countries that eventually buy our fur. After last year’s fur boom it is hard to accept such a fast turn-around.
The Fallon Sale will still be three days, Feb. 27, 28 and March 1, 2009. Reservations are required so give me a call early. Remember, you can ship your fur to me, just give me a call first. Also, NVTA Directors Bobby Bradley in Ely and John Tibbetts in Caliente will bring your fur to the sale if you can’t make it.
