PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Attendance was up this month with six trappers in attendance. Bob Cushner from Pa is visiting with Donald Moore and came along to our meeting. They are duck hunting and fox trapping together from Donald’s house. The other new face is Will Shamer, who we sure hope to see on a regular basis.
Bob discussed the changes we will have to make when the coyotes show up in this area. We had a good discussion on dispatch methods and Bob told about releasing live trapped bears and how they also catch mange, but can be treated.
Each trapper got to tell how their season is going and we talked various trap talk.
I had a death in the family and had to pull my fox line early. It sure was rough pulling the line on the best days catch I had.
District 8 encourages visitors and would like for all interested to come and participate in our meeting.
District 8 meets the fourth Tuesday of each month during trapping season. We start at 7 p.m. at the home of Robert Calloway at 14313 Cherry Lane, near Tuckahoe State Park, between Ridgely and Centreville. Call Bob at 410-634-2501 for further directions.
