DISTRICT 8 REPORT

By now the Maryland Fur Trappers annual convention and elections should be over. I sure hope a bunch of you attended. Our convention is always a good time. We will have to fill in the blanks about the convention next month. Of most interest is the results of the elections which determine our direction for the next two years. We have always had good leadership and I am sure it will continue.

I hope everyone bought their needed trapping supplies at the convention. It is not too early to put the trapping gear back into ready condition. Do it now – while there is still plenty of time.
Additional information about MFT can be found at our website at marylandtrappers.com.

Dist 8 will resume meetings in October. We want our members to attend and we encourage guests. Come share your views and wisdom with the rest of us.

Our meetings are held the fourth Tuesday at 7:00 PM during trapping season. Our meeting place is at the home of Bob Calloway at 14313 Cherry Lane and is located near Tuckahoe State Park between Centreville, Md and Ridgely, Md. Call Bob for further directions at 410-634-2501. The Masons Branch Bridge near his home is now open.

If I can of help – I am easy to locate. Trap on.
