The pledge of allegiance was said.
Minutes of last meeting were read and accepted.
Treasurer’s report was read and accepted.
OLD BUSINESS
NYSTA is raffling off a bear hunt as a fundraiser for our lobbyist.
The Federation Presidents Dinner was well attended.
We have 51 students signed up for the Trapping Class. Al cut it off or we would have had more. There is a shortage of instructors. Anyone interested call Al, the DEC or Rich.
Al has received calls asking why we aren’t having a Spring Fur Sale. His response: “We need help doing it and not from the same people that always help out. You want one, then offer to help.” Sounds good to me.
For next years’ show, we might do a dunk booth. What do you think? Want to get wet for a good cause?
NEW BUSINESS
Advanced Strategies Banquet was well attended, good food and better people.
Onondaga County Federation of Sporstmen is 100% behind the crossbow bill. DEC is accepting of it too. NY Crossbow Coalition is looking for members (which is free) to help with the fight. Please join at www.nycrossbowcoalition.com or NYCC, P.O. Box 316, Pulaski, NY 13142.
Al was reimbursed for monthly expenses.
Thanks to Tim and Gary for March’s food. Al LaFrance is bringing it for April.
Door prizes — Bill Berry won the knife. Tim won the hat.
COUNTY REPORTS
Madison — Sportsman license money is not being used by the DEC
