VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Happy New Year! Trapping is in full bore and speculation of the upcoming season has gone from optimism to possible pessimism, it’s kinda like predicting the weather. The guys are getting ready for the Stock Show, preparations are being made for the Fur Auction and long term plans are being made for the convention/rendezvous.

Candy Herman is pursuing the options of a Furbearers Unlimited Banquet in Grand Junction and if you are interested in participating contact Candy at 970 379 6024.

Sorry for it being so short but I have stuff to skin. — Dan Gates

SECRETARY’S REPORT

The minutes of our February membership meeting will be included in the April-May issue. In the meantime, we welcome new member Carl DePriest and returning member Chris Harper!

This note was received from Miss Rodeo Colorado, Rhianna Russell:

“Thank you so much for providing me with my custom made fur coat! I truly enjoyed selecting the style and fur type. I love the feel and look of the fox fur as well as its weight and durability. I feel so fortunate to be able to enjoy such a luxurious garment that I will get to use for many years to come. I really appreciate the time and work that went into making this coat and have enjoyed learning about the process. Working with your professional and courteous members has been a real treat!

Thank you so much for your support,

Rhianna Russell

Miss Rodeo Colorado 2014”

Click on “Current & Planned Events” at our website, www.coloradotrapper.com, to see a picture of beautiful Rhianna in her gorgeous red fox jacket. Every year we provide a fur coat for Miss Rodeo Colorado as a way to support the rodeo and to promote our association and Colorado fur products. We also make a yearly donation to the NTA fur coat fund toward a fur jacket for the national rodeo queen. — Cheryl Oleyar
